Security
Using SIP access control, the Vega 400 SBC will protect the network from fraudulent calls and SPIT. SIP over TLS for protecting call signalling and SRTP for encrypting speech are both supported.
Configuration
To ease deployment in the most common scenarios Quick Config is an overlay on the existing configuration and allows configuration on 3 simple webUI screens.
Routing
Calls can be load balanced across multiple SIP endpoints. Other media processing tasks such as DTMF transport interworking, FAX detection and volume changes are also supported.
Media
Transcoding between any supported codec is possible, as well as transrating between different packet times. Other media processing tasks such as DTMF transport interworking, FAX detection and volume changes are also supported.
Dedicated Hardware
Sangoma Vega 400 SBC has dedicated DSP resource that allows scalability for simultaneous voice calls from 12 to 60 sessions.
Diagram: Application Area
Sangoma Vega SBC manages the connections between two SIP networks, for instance, between an IP-PBX and one or more ITSPs. Interoperability, security and call management can all be tightly controlled to ensure the best possible service. Optional legacy, TDM connections can be included to integrate existing equipment
